Diploma in computer science & engineering programme started in the year 1992 along with the inception of this institute. On the completion of 25 glorious years our department has produced many diploma engineers who have gone on to placed in many MNC, become entrepreneurs &achieved great success in their careers. Computer science is a fast growing field in present digital age, therefore the need for computer science diploma engineers high.

In our department, we have well qualified dedicated faculty working as a team to provide an opportunity for our students to develop a firm foundation in basic subjects. like mathematics, science, communication skills and with the core courses which gives the basic knowledge in all the areas of computer science like computer networks ,computer hardware, multimedia, web design, database management ,computer organization ,software engineering ,testing, network security and programming skill development in languages such as c, java, web programming, ADA etc ,which requires in today’s competitive world.

We work towards the academic goals, the students develop their abilities to solve problems, study independently, and think practically while learning to adapt the existing knowledge and apply it to new conditions. They also imbibe professional values and ethics as they enhance their skills in specific subject areas. We have a commitment to excellence in instruction, with a world-class curriculum to meet the needs of today's students, with reduced course loads, more seminars, classes to enable serious faculty-student interaction, activity base learning techniques, we also encourage students to take part in social responsibilities along with the academic activities and imbibe ethical values.

Being the HOD of this department gives me immense happiness to see the students & staff achieves great heights years after years with continuous support from the principal & management of SGP.
